King Baru

After a whole month of being off public exhibit, Baru finally went on public exhibit this past Friday, and I got my first chance to see him yesterday, this is one of 39 pictures I took of him. I took so many good quality head shots it's going to be hard for me to decide just how many more pics of him I'll upload, and I still have yet to decide on which of my full body shots to upload. He's the biggest saltie in all North America and possibly the Western Hemisphere. Same size as previous big crocs like Gomek and Sweetheart. He's 17 and a half feet long, and weighs 1,540 pounds. Truly an awe-inspiring experience seeing my very first saltwater crocodile and especially one as large as Baru. Taken at Toledo Zoo in Toledo, Ohio on May 25th, 2013.
